This bucket-filling activity is so much fun! It's something that we may want to get used to doing. After reading the book, him and his brother started filling each other's bucket which was so nice to see. Justin also fills my bucket by saying he loves me. He also fills his dad's bucket by hugging him all the time. Having that bucket, although invisible, makes everything we do much more meaningful. Stuffs that I normally do (i.e. laundry, cooking, cleaning, etc.) ,now, has special meaning. Because I know it makes someone my kids and my husband happy (thus filling their bucket).

Brynna filled her Grammie and Papa's bucket today. They drove in town to take us out to lunch and she ran up to them giving big hugs. The smiles on their faces told everyone how happy they were to get that hug!

Filler: Jamie was a great bucket filler throughout our busy weekend by being cooperative and helpful when it came to getting ready for his basketball and soccer games. He also helped out around the house, even carrying his oldest sister's heavy bags out to the car for her when she was heading back to college. Shhh!! I'm adding this in secret: He is one of the best snuggly huggers ever and that really helps fill my bucket each and every day!! (Jamie's Mom)

Filled: My bucket was filled when my sisters were nice to me and when they played with me.

Many thanks to Mrs. Shirey for being the perfect example of what a bucket filler should be and for being the kind of person whose bucket it is a pleasure to help fill!

My bucket gets filled when my Mom hugs me and my Dad helps me when I need it. I fill Mom's bucket when I help out when asked without complaining.

It helps by reminding the kids of the results of the things they do and how doing good things helps everybody.

I feel good when I fill someone elses bucket. I fill my mom's bucket when I give her a hug. I fill my dad's bucket when I tickle him. I fill Nikko's bucket by feeding him. I fill my sis' bucket when I give her a big kissy.

I fill Nate's bucket by giving him hugs after we get off the bus. Nate fills my bucket by inviting me into his room in the morning to play.

Sophie fills our family's bucket with her willingness to be helpful (like when she sets the table for dinner), her lovingness toward us all (all those great hugs she shares!), and the way she speaks with kindness. We love her very much and know our family's bucket often overflows for what she puts inside... -- Sophie's mom, Jenn

My brother Peter filled my bucket by coming to my room and asking me to read to him. He does not usually ask me that question and always asks mom or dad. He is always so nice to me. I really enjoyed reading to him and I liked the book. It was spooky. BOO!!!

I passed out bucketfilling papers on a Sunday morning after Sunday
School. I passed them out by waiting outside the sunday School door. I passed them out because I wanted to make my friends and their family feel special. I waited outside my class before church. It made me feel happy and proud because they smiled and said thank-you. And that is what made me feel very happy.

I went to the library. I left them on shelves, tables, computer keyboards, and library carts. I gave one to the librarian and she said, "thank you very much." I thought it was easier to do at school, because I have a bunch of friends there and at the library I was shy.

so far its been so much fun! I filled my brothers bucket by reading him a story and he huged me and I filled my moms bucket by drawing her a drawing she loved it very much.I filled my dads bucket by telling him he is a very nice dad.I felt nervous while doing this. This assiment is much easier to do at school because your friends will listen to you but at home might be busy and you don't want to bother them.

I filled my moms bucket at home by helping her do the laundry. My mom was very happy after I help her and she said "Thank you!". After filling my moms bucket I felt very proud of myself. Bucket filling is the easiest at home because my mom is always busy and she needs help with chores around the house.

When my mother took me to the Arch, I said, "thank you." That made her very happy! I think bucket filling at home is the easiest. It makes me very happy when I fill a bucket.

I helped my Grandma at the grocery store because she has a cane. I pushed the cart and she was really happy about it! I felt really happy about it! It was easier to do it at home because there are more chances to help.

Cade made his moms really proud when he took his younger cousin Ben on his first roller coaster.

Cade also was kind to his cousin Lily when he a tried to help her when she was crying.

Cade made his whole family proud when he raised money to "help kids with cancer" by shaving his head for St. Baldricks. He decided to have his head shaved so that his mom Tracy would not be the only one with a bald head in our family.
